BMF gets the Scissor Sister's support!

John Garden – the keyboard player in number 1 band, the Scissor Sistors, has pledged his support for the work of the BMF.

“Since 2004 I have been full-time keyboard player for Scissor Sisters. As I write this we are preparing to play a concert in Trafalgar Square to launch our second album, Ta-Dah. Previous to this I have worked with Alison Moyet, Liz Fraser, Alpha and many other unsigned and up and coming Bristol artists. I would not have been able to meet and work with these artists had it not been for the support and generosity of Bristol’s music community.

I have personally worked with several of the directors of BMF, and they have been a valuable and much-valued source of advice and support through the years.

Since moving to Bristol in 1999 I have moved forward in my career mainly through the generous recommendations and endorsements of my fellow Bristol musicians.

I am in full support of the aims of BMF and I share their belief that music in Bristol needs focussed support and will further flourish if resources are made available to committed industry professionals who are best placed to distribute and manage funds, information and knowledge to the benefit of all and any Bristol musicians, whatever stage they are at in their career. ”
