Originally started by the late Bristol band Actual Size, Toybox was a private rehearsal space that the band converted, using record company money into a fully functioning multitrack studio. Spread across 8 rooms in a large vaulted Georgian basement, the studio is littered with vintage instruments, amps, keyboards and pedals. And is geared towards musical performance and experimentation. The studio is set up to allow musicians to perform together in the same room, in the most natural way possible, as well as giving complete isolation of amplifiers and drum kits. We have a great selection of the finest recording equipment that has been collected over many years by Stef and Ali who are both active recording and performing musicians themselves. Brief summary of equipment as follows -

-40 Channel Trident TSM console.
-24 Track Otari Tape recorder
-Pro Tools HD2 Accel
-Neve 1073 mic pres
-Urei 1176 Compressors

-Neumann, Coles, AKG, Telefunken, Sennheiser, Beyerdynamic mics.
