SouthSonic.co.uk is looking for two things: musicians and journalists. Interested? Read on! Musicians: we want to hear about up and coming, unknown, critically acclaimed, international, local, bedroom, garage and national artists. Basically - EVERYONE! More specifically, bands and artists that are from the South West of the UK. Home is where the heart is and we are dedicated to providing up to date news and reviews on local bands, so if you're in one and want some exposure please get in touch via the website. Journalists: we want to hear from trainee, professional, old, young, experienced, unexperienced, music lovers and critics. Basically - ANYONE! Everyone deserves a chance to get involved and write about what they're passionate about so if you fancy writing for us, check out the contact section of the website and drop us an email. What's the worst that can happen? As above, we would prefer people based in the South West of the UK for logistical reasons. However, if you want to write about a new album, single or are interested in interview opportunites we are not going to stand in your way.
SouthSonic is the independent home of music made, produced and played across the South West of the UK. The area is bursting with fresh talent, exceptional entertainment and the idea behind this venture is to empower the people responsible for it.
No genre will be left behind. Opinions will not be toned down. Pioneering moments will be commended. We have set our sights to provide up to date news, frank reviews and extensive features and get behind local businesses as well as international artists.
As well as incorporating music and words into the website, we believe multimedia formats are also an important way of expressing creative levels and showcasing talent from the forefront of performances. And we aren’t planning on stopping there; keep your eyes peeled and ears perked to see what else we have lined up for the future.
