Started in June 2009 after a discussion in the pub Songs From The Shed has grown into an internationally recognised brand with bands from all over the world flocking to our stable doors. After winning “shed of the year” in 2011 we received worldwide media coverage and have featured in many newspapers (Including The North Korean Times!) on the BBC, Sky News and ITV. We have been interviewed by magazines as diverse as Chat and National Geographic and are championed by Bob Harris, Cerys Matthews and many others.

Our philosiphy is “keep it simple” the sessions are recorded on handheld digital camera with no external mics or post production so are a true reflection of an artists live performance. As Steve Knightley of Show of Hands said after playing a session “It doesn’t matter who you are it’s a level playing field for everyone.”

All sessions are recorded totally acoustic with, where possible, nothing plugging in and bring out some very special and surprising performances.
