Drumscapes live sampling multi percussion performances. Using a range of percussion instruments, vocal percussion & live sampling ( also known as live looping ), Jon creates live multi - percussion rhythmic soundscapes - Drumscapes. Combining acoustic percussion, vocal percussion & live audio processing, Drumscapes range from highly energised rhythmical journeys to atmospheric percussion soundscapes. All instruments are played, sampled and processed live on stage. Tabla, Riq, Daf, Cajon & vocal percussion contribute to original and unique rhythmic journeys which draw from traditional Indian & Middle Eastern rhythms infused with a contemporary and innovative delivery. Using real time audio processing to create effects such as drones from percussion, new sounds evolve from the mix as the acoustic becomes the electronic.
