Adrian spotted Poppy Pitt playing solo at a bar on Stokes Croft in 2008 and signed her up in December 2008. So far Carrot and Stick have released 2 EP’s for Poppy and Friends, a download single was released in September and in October 2009 her debut album – Beautiful To Me – is released. They have agents at both ITB and Primary Talent interested in working with them.

2010 is going to be a big year for the band, having played 52 gigs in 2009 including 4 shows at Glastonbury and on a train at Inditracks Festival, they hope to perform at SXSW, The Great Escape, Camden Crawl and In The City, trying to take their gig count to around 100 in the year.

Carrot and Stick also book tours for ex-Hefner frontman Darren Hayman and NYC folk-rockers DUFUS, and work closely with Bristol Bands Dot Com promoting shows at The Fleece.

Adrian has been in the entertainment industry since leaving school in 1981. Having started as a sound and lighting engineer in London Adrian progressed to running a cabaret club in Dublin then moved to Bath in 1992 where he remains. Adrian ran Bath's finest comedy club (The Fez) for 7 years and enjoyed working with some of the UK's biggest names in comedy and is credited with being the first person to spot the talent that is Russell Howard, giving him his first paid work and sending him on tour with Scottish comedian Phil Kay. The weekly club in Bath developed into monthly shows in Prague, Budapest and Warsaw sponsored by BMI. Adrian started the Carrot & Stick brand in 2007 to manage the UK interests of French band Coming Soon. This led to working with another artist on Coming Soon's label, American singer/songwriter Erinn Williams, booking 3 UK tours for her.
