Bristol City Council’s cabinet have agreed to establish Bristol Music Trust (BMT) as an independent music body. BMT will be up and running next April and will be asked to run Colston Hall instead of Bristol City Council. It is hoped the move will expand the appeal of the venue, and help secure the long-term, sustainable future of Colston Hall. This independent organisation will also help to support music in Bristol as a whole, promoting and developing music, and shaping the wider music future of Bristol in the coming years.
