A gripping performance of blistering dexterity and infectious rhythms played on accordion, clarinet, violin and upright bass. Includes songs and tunes from Romania, Macedonia, Brittany, Malta, Mexico, Scotland, Italy, Turkey, Finland, Bulgaria as well as some originals.

Braga Tanga are based in Cornwall but draw experience and inspiration from all over the world. Braga Tanga consists of four well-travelled and well-seasoned musicians with considerable musical and theatrical experience. Expect a few original songs from singer and accordionist Jim Carey, who has created inspirational music for the likes of Cornwall’s Kneehigh and Miracle Theatre Companies, and Eden Project.

Jim Carey has long been closely associated with the stage as a Musical Director and performer, including almost two decades with Cornwall’s Kneehigh Theatre. At the same time he has produced haunting soundtracks for film makers and radio productions. He continues to write for the theatre and other events. He lives in Falmouth and is regarded as being a major part of the Cornish music culture. Jim composes, directs, produces, records and performs music for events, theatre, TV, radio and film. he has produced haunting soundtracks for film makers and radio productions and has created inspirational music for the likes of the Eden Project and The Hall for Cornwall, He plays with Radjel, Bombrassa, and BragaTanga.
