Hello!
We are Ben & Alfie
Over the last few years we have been engaged for private events, festivals, concerts and commissioned music for film, theatre and dance (and one 16th Century Mural!).
All our repertoire is original and we have one special act – “TAXI to Djaly Kunda” – which is a semi theatrical performance inspired by our time in Senegal, where we were lucky enough to spend two months living with the West-African musician Seckou Keita.
We are Classically trained but we began playing/arranging old folk tunes. Throughout our lives we have picked up many different musical influences which shape our music. These include Western and Eastern European Folk, Jazz, Classical, West African and South American influences.
