SUMMARY:Liverpool Sound City
DESCRIPTION:2010 will see the third annual Liverpool Sound City music industry conference and music festival take place in, you guessed it, Liverpool. This annual event has quickly become one of the UK's most important dates in the international music calendar.
With over a 1000 registered delegates and 40 panellists in 2009, the Liverpool Sound City international music business conference caters for everyone; from the young on the cusp of a career in the music industry to the more established entrepreneur looking to grow their business.
Retro soul singer Paloma Faith and Mercury Music Prize winner Speech Debelle will headline the festival this year and Seymour Stein (cofounder and chairman of Sire Records) has been confirmed as the keynote speaker. As well as starting up the label that put Punk and New Wave on the map, Stein is also famous for signing artists such as Madonna, The Ramones, Blondie, and Talking Heads to name a few.
Liverpool Sound City takes place from May 19-22, 2010 at the brand new Hilton Hotel.
