Coexist Music Collective - 1st meeting
06.30PM - 08:00PM | Free
Hamilton House
This is an invitation to be part of the Coexist Music Collective…
Coexist and the BMF have created a partnership to build 3000 sq ft of music recording, practice and post production space as well as 3000 sq ft of music business offices, at Hamilton House in Stokes Croft.
Tenants of this new music space will be part of the Coexist Music Collective which will support, promote, sustain and celebrate our music community. We aim for this to be an enterprising project establishing a variety of paid jobs whilst helping artists to create sustainable revenue streams. Born out of a desire to create an alternative to the traditional music industry model, our vision is to pool our resources, talents, time and space to provide an interactive platform for musicians, songwriters, producers, session musicians, sound engineers, music video makers etc. This would include those interested in the business and legal side of music, sales, promotion, venue/festival/tour bookings, distribution, radio and press, social networking and website management. As examples, artists are able to be supported by the network whilst maintaining their creativity and integrity over artistic domain; music businesses have more streamlined access to artists and artist development.
To be considered to be a part of the collective you need to register an initial statement of interest by sending an email to samantha.marais@sjpp.co.uk outlining what your area of interest is and identifying what experience or skills you have to offer the project.
The first meeting to discuss this will be at 6:30pm on Wednesday 14th of April at Hamilton House (5th Floor), 80 Stokes Croft, Bristol, BS1 3QY to discuss this further. Please confirm in your email if you are able to attend.
For further queries, please leave a message on 0117 9249599 requesting further info on the Coexist Music Project or visit the Coexist website.
