Synchronisation Licensing and working with Brands
06.00PM - 10:00PM | £40.00
Deloitte LLP Theatre
10 extra tickets have been released for the forthcoming sold-out AIM event: Synchronisation Licensing and Working With Brands. If you want to get your tracks on TV shows, adverts, films and video games, or if you want to work with brands to leverage the profile of your artists and generate revenue, this event will look in depth at exactly how these areas of business work.
This year the event will open with a presentation from Ruth Clarke and Franke Lampen of IMU, who will share their expertise in the area of bringing music and brands together, covering: the main areas of opportunity, how to identify brands to work with, how to approach brands, working out the deal and the common pitfalls to avoid.
There will then be a panel discussion featuring experts on synchronisation from the worlds of TV, adverts, films and video games. The panel will discuss the following key topics:
- The process involved in placing a track
- What makes a track ‘sync-able’?
- What can labels do to improve their chance of achieving sync licences for their artists?
- How is the sync licensing business changing?
Speakers confirmed include:
Gary Downing, Exclamation Music (and former Director of Synchronisation at Chrysalis)
Susan Stone, Tonic (Music Supervision Agency)
Christian Stevenson (Music Consultant for Xbox 360 game Dirt 2)
Jacquie Perryman, Connected (and former SVP Creative at Twentieth Century Fox)
Jemma Skidmore, PIAS (Sync and Brand Manager)
Moderator: Simon Goffe (of Yes! Music and independent label Brownswood Recordings)
All attending labels will be asked to submit 1 track that will be considered for a shortlist of up to 10 that will be discussed on the evening in terms of their sync suitability, details will be provided following booking confirmations. The evening will conclude with networking drinks – giving all labels the chance to meet the speakers.
