The BMF has teamed up with Bath Spa University to offer members training in copyright and IPR.

This interactive training afternoon will offer an insight to any practitioner in the music industry looking for a non-technical understanding of intellectual property ownership and rights.

The day will include:
- an introduction to copyright
- an insight into copyright, the music industry and the internet
- a brief introduction to trade marks, designs and brand protection
- Q&A session with copyright and IP experts

The event will start with a light lunch at 1pm and by the end of the afternoon we hope you’ll have furthered the following skills:
- knowledge of copyright and trademark principles and design law
- understanding of how IPR applies to the music industry
- the ability to maximise rights protection
- how to avoid pitfalls of IPR
