The spectacular Zun Zun Egui are set to headline the first UK IC Music gig, to be held at Exeter Phoenix on Wednesday 16 May. They will be joined by Bristol band The Naturals, Devon-based Rebecca Mayes, and French band Cerceuil, on what looks set to be a fantastic night’s entertainment.

Zun Zun Egui
Toting their debut album Katang – out now on Bella Union – Zun Zun Egui started out playing up and down the UK to hardcore and party crowds ready to be let loose by music. Wild multi-lingual vocal incantations and splenetic, world-wise guitar licks mingle with zig-zag splashes of keyboard colour, while heavy, heavy bass and drums offer the crucial undertow to produce a truly experimental sound. The Naturals
Formed in 2004 The Naturals create a sound that is as textural as it is deafening. They can make guitars sound like anything, and often do; sometimes delicate, sometimes brutal, sometimes sanguine, but always beautiful. Check out more here

Rebecca Mayes
Rebecca Mayes lives in Devon with her piano, harp, accordion, banjo and ukulele. She writes and sings stunning atmospheric songs and recently rose to attention by writing ‘song-reviews’ of videogames. Find out more here

Cercueil
French electro-pop band, Cercueil, create a heady and padded sound, mixing opiate sensuality, gold-lined electro, new-wave and fundamental noise. Check them out here
