BEAM LIVEPART 1; THE WINDMILLS OF YOUR MIND
MUSIC + LIVE IPAD ART
Watershed Café/Bar, Thu 29 March
22:00 – 01:00 – Free Entry (STC)

BEAM (Bristol Exchange of Arts & Music) in association with Bristol Music Foundation and Watershed are proud to announce the inaugural BEAM Live at Bristol’s cultural cinema and digital creativity centre, the Watershed on March 29th.

As part of Filmic and in homage to the great film composer Michel Legrand we are hosting an evening of live music and projected art riffing off The Windmills Of Your Mind, the iconic song from The Thomas Crown Affair scored by Legrand.

Scott Hendy (Malachai/Boca 45) and DJ Cheeba (Ninja Tune/Solid Steel) will be cutting and splicing audio and video live. They will be joined by artist Inkie (See No Evil artistic curator) who will be creating live art on an iPad projected onto a large screen, in what will be the UK’s first live fusion of iPad street art to music. Limited edition iPad prints by Inkie will be on display and on sale on the night….Its one not to be missed!

The ‘Bristol Exchange of Arts and Music’ (BEAM) aims to create partnerships between creators based in Bristol and those in other, similar, cities worldwide. The project will take a selection of musicians and music producers, filmmakers and artist and create links with similar creators in other cities in order to share exhibitions and marketing and raise the profile of art and underground culture in each city. The BEAM project aims to ‘export’ itself to host cities in Europe and across the world over the next three years.

More on BEAM coming shortly…
