The BMF is run by music industry professionals in Bristol and supports the development of music businesses and musicians in Bristol and the South West of England. The BMF is dedicated to encouraging partnerships and networks in the region to provide a joined-up approach to activity, the sharing of ideas and knowledge, and improving national and international links towards raising the profitability and international profile of the music industry in the South West.

Since 2006 we have supported over 1,000 musicians and music businesses both through one to one help and guidance and through providing links to national and international organisations and events. We now over 500 members.

Following a significant cut to our funding, and an increase in overheads and the relocation of key staff the BMF is now struggling to keep going.

What we need:
Income to provide core cash flow to finance the organisation on a day to day level
Income to support new staff joining the organisation
Income to create match funding for local, national and European funding applications
Income to provide bespoke services to musicians and music businesses of all ages and genres across the region
Income to cover office and service costs and to run regular events
