Music To Market: A survey of the music industry in the South West of England
The Bristol Music Foundation is pleased to launch Music To Market, a survey of the music industry in the South West of England.
The survey is an essential part of our work to create sustainable support to musicians and music businesses in the region and follows a period of desk based research and the development of regional music hubs in the South West. This work has to date been supported by the South West RDA, South West Screen, and UK Trade & Investment.
And we’re offering 50% off delegate tickets to Music South West, our new convention for South West music on 11th and 12th November 09, to the first 10 completed surveys. Results from the survey will be reported on at Music South West.

The survey will help us to build an accurate picture of music activity in the South West and the size, needs and economic output of music businesses and musicians across the region. It will help us to focus our work with national trade organisations, and all future events and training.
This information is vital to us in order to advocate for improved and sustainable support to businesses and artists, and to lobby for increased investment into the music sector in the South West.
The survey is open to all businesses and individuals over the age of 18 that are actively involved in music in the South West across all musical genres.
The survey will remain open until 9th October 09.
