Established in October 2008, UK Music is the umbrella body that represents the collective interest of the UK commercial music industry. UK Music member organisations are: AIM, BASCA, BPI, MMF, MPA, MU, PPL and PRS for Music

“Liberating Creativity” will be published in late October to coincide with the Government’s creative conference C&binet, and is proposing to identify the chief challenges facing the industry over the next five to 10 years and to formulate strategies to deal with them.

In order to take into account the widest spectrum of opinion, UK Music has announced an open industry-wide consultation that will inform the Liberating Creativity report.

The consultation closes on 15th September. Download it here UK Music Consultation

The BMF works closely with UK Music and the member organisations, strongly supports this piece of work, and has already provided a direct response to the consultation.

We will be discussing the report across our forthcoming autumn events in the region, and at our regional music convention in Bristol in November.
