BBC Radio 1’s Big weekend comes to Swindon in May and for the first time, this year will be supported by The Fringe featuring the best of Swindon’s unsigned talent.

The Fringe will celebrate the local music scene In Swindon and the surrounding area, and will take place at four live music venues across Swindon these being The 12 Bar, The Vic, The Furnace, and Rehab. Each venue hosts the festival for one night and four different bands will play on each night.

The 16 bands taking part from Swindon and the local area have been chosen by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and a panel of local music experts to showcase the very best in upcoming bands and artists from the area. The line up also includes 2 acts who have previously been featured on Teenage Rampage tours; The Alfonz and The Volt.
