Music South West will see high profile events, organisations and individuals from the UK visit Bristol over two days in November.

Our first keynote, for Day 1 on 11th November is now confirmed.

Martin Elbourne has worked for 30 years in the music industry. He is co-founder of the Womad Festival and has been the main booker of Glastonbury for the last 15 years. He also founded the Great Escape and M is for Montreal and books other UK and international festivals. Previously, Martin acted as agent to bands such as The Smiths, New Order and James.

Martin will open a day dedicated to live music in partnership with the National Skills Academy, the Association of Independent Festivals and We:Live the association of independent venues and promoters.

Do not miss this opportunity to meet festival bookers, promoters and to hear about developments in licensing and how to battle barriers to growing your business.
Find out about opportunities to access live performance.

We will dedicate part of the day to an update on the National Skills Academy for Creative & Cultural Skills and you are invited to take part in a working forum to develop the agenda for a new, national industry skills conference in 2010.
